Hydraulics, a mechanism used in so many moving parts in the modern world. They are pistons that use liquid pressure to compress. Lots of modern machinery use them including cars, airplanes, and construction equipment. A large piston is filled with liquid called hydraulic fluid. A pump, pumps fluid in and the piston compresses the liquid creating pressure. The pressure is then relieved as needed to move around and in the case of large crane extend and contract. Hydraulics is a science that uses liquid to compress creating pressure to move things around or carry heavy things.
